Interesting.

When I was young, Britain had a substantial shipbuilding industry. This article lists 22 companies.

It was privatised by the Thatcher government in 1989 which destroyed most British industry in favour of banking and finance, and that seems to have killed it off. It doesn't rate a mention on your graphs.

If it can't be financialized or tokenized, Big Money in the USA wants no part of it. Heavy industry? That's so last century.

So Trump's plan to reshore shipbuilding isn't going to have private sector partners. The money is too busy working the $1.4 trillion basis trade in the Cayman Islands. They'd sooner buy Florida swampland than a shipyard.
