Believe it is disingenuous to call it a Ukrainian scam. Metals & mining industry has known this for quite some time and if my research tracks…Ukraine didn’t offer it, the US demanded it as “payment”. A ludicrous idea from many viewpoints and nothing other than a pretext of involvement. If it had signed, which I seriously doubt, the US would have claimed some form of overwhelming success & achievement without achieving anything tangible for Ukraine. Whether the “demand” (offer) was genuine or not, the timing of the meeting coincidentally pushes coverage away from this administration’s efforts to get their “tax cut” through Congress.
