A 2nd rate comedian turned dictator is full of deceit up his sleeves. I doubt such amount exist. My take this clown who is not the elected leader of the country is playing the USA 😁
Thanks for expanding on this. I posted this six days ago elsewhere in the aftermath of the Zelenskyy eviction from the WH:
On another viewpoint, about the actual value of those mineral assets. I'm familiar with investment disputes that turn on the actual value of mineral resources in the ground. Lots of steps in the proper accurate identification and valuation - prospecting, geology study, core samples, claim area delineation, environmental impact studies, design of the proposed mines, licenses and concessions bidding, limited mining licenses, full licenses, time frames of the licenses, logistics of the mine including transport of ores, smelting or chemical processing on site. Crazy wild valuations get bandied about. So much fraud in Ukraine, this could be one more.
The agreement Zelynskyy reneged on in the Oval Office was just a preliminary agreement. The US did not "demand" anything. It offered investment in minerals to generate funds for rebuilding Ukraine infrastructure. Nothing was mandatory for either side although another detailed agreement would have followed. Nothing is repayment for monies already spent by the US in Ukraine. There is no debt to service. Those monies are lost and gone forever.
